Director of Engineering From the projects I was responsible for, I highlight the development and implementation of the Project for the railway connections between the North and South shores of the Tagus River using Ponte 25 de Abril, a connection that stretches from the eastern part of Lisbon at the connection to the North Line (Braço de Prata) to Coina Railway Complex with a total length of 28 kilometres, fully electrified, electronically signalled with the ESTW L90 P Alcatel system and a CTC (Centralized Traffic Centre) located in Campolide. I was also responsible for other projects for the modernization of Portuguese road and railway networks through the development of signalling systems, integrated telecommunications systems, SOS systems, fleet management, ticketing, ... Definition of operational practices associated to the technical assistance processes, as well as control and inspection mechanisms. After specialising in London, I began to carry out the following duties at Ford Electrónica Portuguesa:o Coordination of Projects, through the promotion of the team, passing on technical skills and use of more advanced technologies applied to electronics, microprocessors and control of such equipment. o Project of new products from Ford's electronics division, such as a full range of audio equipment, including Radios, Equalizers, Amplifiers, and even electronic engine controls, Airbags, On-Board Computers, Temperature Controls and Instrument panels. o Development of products based on "Product Letters" issued by the Marketing department or on information received from clients.o Continuously improve product performance, correcting non-conformities that had been detected after sale as well as their future cost reduction.During this period, I accumulated the Management of “Ford, Autoliv & Nokia” Joint-Venture, assuming project management functions related to the development, launch and industrialisation of a new Airbag, with the objective of giving Ford clients the last word in performance as safety was becoming a key element in car engineering.

Production & Maintenance Manager - lead the Equipment and Maintenance Department, as part of the launch project team of the plant at the Palmela Industrial Park for high technology processes, with 1700 employees and a total investment of 120 million dollars.

1/2/89 - 1/9/1990: Automation and Systems Engineering Manager - Responsible for the Development of Systems, Automation and industrial control applications for Simplified Remote Control Systems, Remote Indication Systems, Radio Systems. In particular, I worked as head of the Project for the Automation of the NATO Building in Oeiras (Armed Forces) called SMC3 - MODULAR SYSTEM FOR CENTRALISED MONITORING AND CONTROL aimed at ensuring the supervision and remote control of abandoned plant, using a Central Station and Remote Units, equipped with expedited and simplified Man/Machine Commands that allows for the viewing of the main occurrences to be controlled on a video display animated synoptics4/3/87 - 1/2/89: Services and Maintenance Engineer- Began my professional activity in SISTEL in the area of technical assistance, a function with a high degree of autonomy depending on the Director of Production, characterised by the dynamic technique, repair of electronic equipment and organisation of their logistics in terms of manufacturing and after-sales.
