For over 35 years I have gained considerable Engineering and Quality Assurance experience in the manufacturing and precision machining of aluminum and zinc diecastings, the manufacturing of powder metal products and, most recently, the assembly of suspension and brake systems for a tier one automotive supplier. I have experience in the auditing of IATF16949, ISO9001 and ISO14001 quality management systems. I have considerable experience in the development of PPAP documentation, including FMEAs, Control Plans, Inspection Plans, Work Instructions, SPC, MSA, and capability analysis. I am an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and I received Black Belt certification through Auburn University. The discipline from this training has proven to be invaluable in the continuous improvement initiatives that are launched from our cross functional Continuous Improvement teams. I also make extensive use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Access. And, finally, I have considerable experience in programming CMMs using PC-DMIS and Calypso and also in teaching GD&T to Quality Technicians and Engineers and SPC to line operators.I will consider any Quality Engineer or Quality Manager position in the midwest, preferably with 200 miles of my home in Bourbon, MO (so I could be home during the weekends). I would also consider contract work for a duration of 6 months to a year.
