12 month secondmentI lead a small team of Assistant FA's who oversee the Company's Corporate Card programme for 30k+ employees across the UK, IRE, ITA, CZ, DE, CH, AU and Portugal. My team are responsible for all aspects of reconciliation within the Concur system and providing reporting for compliance. I also undertake VIM content approvals for all acquisitions and commissioning of content shown on and broadcast in Sky. A key part of my role oversees the Vendor Maintenance procedure across the business, ensuring compliance and efficiency across all territories. My role involves coaching, supporting and developing the team, but also solving complex problems and issues and seeking ways to improve and streamline efficiency, whilst remaining compliant with SOX controls.

I lead a team of Service Desk Analysts and Technical Specialists who manage and maintain all of the Financial Systems used by the business. This covers the areas of P2P, A2R, OTC and C2B for SAP 4 HANA / SAP ECC, SAP GUI, SAP BI, Ariba Cloud, Ariba Business Network, SAP Concur and VIM Analytics. As well as supporting, motivating and leading the team to deliver an effective and efficent service to our users, a key part of my role is identifying and leading projects to increase efficiency and end user experience by creating increased automation. I am responsible for overseeing and approving SOX controls and providing insight to external auditors to ensure the strictest level of compliance. Additionally I am responsible for setting the objectives in my department and for engaging, coaching and inspiring my team to deliver the highest of standards through leading by example.

I lead, manage, inspire and empower a team of up to 20 Sales advisors in order to engage them in the Company goal of delivering an outstanding customer experience, whilst also generating revenue in line with business KPIs. Through regular coaching and 121s I am responsible for ensuring each of my team have the correct blend of skills and the required behaviours to deliver and exceed both customer and business expectations. I am actively involved in creating coaching and development plans in order to ensure each of my advisors has a clear vision and plan for their future. I am also responsible for managing absence, capability and conduct issues in line with company procedure and often support other areas of the business with high level or complex cases. I am jointly responsible for overseeing on site compliance for around 300 advisors by communicating changes and recommending improvement strategies in order to minimise risk in line with Ofcom regulations and relevant legislation.

I am part of an exciting new initiative involving leading a team permanently working from home as part of a business trial. As part of the trial, I work to Agile principles and alongside a very inclusive and diverse team from different backgrounds and cultures. The aim is to demonstrate that we can deliver and exceed customer and business results whilst working in this new environment and maintain high levels of employee engagement.

This position was a 12 month secondment in order to build the knowledge, skills and behaviours in order to effectively manage a team of Sales advisors. It allowed me exposure to leading and managing a team whilst gaining regular feedback and mentoring in order to prepare for a permanent role.

In this position I was responsible for coaching and supporting new advisors to the business and ensuring they were set up for success. This involved regular coaching, feedback and training as well as providing handover documents to the team manager. It was also an opportunity to develop my own coaching skills.

My key focus in this role was to achieve a balanced scorecard across all KPIs, whilst delivering the best outcome for our customers and business. I was responsible for exceeding core KPIs and for displaying the company behaviours and commitments in all aspects of my role. I also had exposure to stepping up within the team in the absence of my leader and taking on the role of coach within my team.
