I also focused on various regulatory referential data initiatives such as counterparty and product referential data - always looking at opportunities to improve the data quality and ensuring that there are good controls and governance in place. Prior to this, I set up the Transaction reporting team within Newedge, initially focused on MiFID, and then broadening scope to Dodd-Frank and EMIR.I was at Societe Generale for nearly 10 years. I was previously at Goldman Sachs for over 16.5 years, working in Asset Management Operations for 11 and more recently in Regulatory Operations for 5.5 years.     My most recent role was as a business-aligned Chief Data Officer for the UK entity and global Prime Brokerage. During this time, I have experienced a broad range of data management areas, including data strategy, data governance, data quality, incorporation of company-established data processes and tooling into the business, data privacy, data security, and data-related regulation including GDPR and BCBS 239. I lead a project stream to improve the completeness and accuracy of data sourced for the UK entity liquidity regulatory reporting (FSA 047/048), modelling (including ILAA) and daily Treasury processes. I established a data framework and governance for the daily BAU process and for the ILAA: This involved identifying data owners, data producers and data consumers; I provided data training for key stakeholders and those involved in the process; I also deployed of a data quality framework for the resulting BAU process, using the tooling and approach in alignment with central Data Office and BCBS239 requirements; I worked with the CAO and CFO to establish a bimonthly Data Committee with C-suite entity representatives & those involved in the process.I have been able to use my knowledge and experience of client and product referential data to ensure that various issues identified are addressed and that the data and digital transformation requirements were being met. I have also been working as project manager for “The Future of Client Reporting” stream of the data and digital transformation program undertaken by the business, providing direction, approach and strategy, working closely with key stakeholders and those business, clients, operational and technical staff involved in the agile development of the new platform. In my recent roles, I have taken an active role in industry conferences, seminars and industry working groups, being able to use my experience when participating in panel discussions, leading discussions or chairing conferences.

I also focused on various regulatory referential data initiatives such as counterparty and product referential data across regulatory and tax reporting - always looking at opportunities to improve the data quality and ensuring that there are good controls and governance in place. For the MiFIR transaction reporting implementation, I was able to significantly reduce the regulatory risk relating to missing LEIs for our clients, working closely with the global business and operations to identify our in-scope clients, to then review the referential data including Legal Entity name and then ensure that they had the correct LEI associated in their set-up.I was actively involved in various Trade Association working groups - member of the ISDA Cross Trade Association Reporting Working Group, ICMA ERCC Operations Working Group and SFTR Working Group, FIA Europe EMIR and MiFIR reporting working groups and other ISDA reporting-related working groups. This included meetings with the FCA, Bank of England and the EU Commission in Brussels.During this time I have been a chair, presenter, panel participant in various industry conferences, forums and webinars. These have allowed me to remain up-to-date with the current technology and views relating to the industry, as well as use my experiences. One of my biggest successes was to be the chair for a 2-day regulatory and transaction reporting conference.
