Morwell

Southern Rural Water is the manager of rural water for southern Victoria. We aim to manage rural water sustainably for the benefit of our communities. We deliver water to irrigators in our irrigation districts, we harvest bulk water for rural and urban use, and we license and monitor extractions from most surface and groundwater systems south of the Great Divide. We also license the construction of farm dams and groundwater bores across our region. As a Field Officer I was responsible for;- provision of advice and enforcement of groundwater and surface water licenses, the Water Act 1989 and any Local Management Rules.- Reading of groundwater and surface water meters,- Monitoring of local river and creek water levels.- Dealing wither customer enquiries relative to farm dams, domestic stock water entitlements and bores.- Administration duties and the use of industry specific software.

Gippsland Area

My role as a Police Officer involved;- Control and investigation at crime and accident scenes- Ability to build rapport, take control, coordinate and negotiate with people from all walks of life.- Attendance at incidents of domestic violence; assisting parties involved with advice on criminal, civil and family law matters, counseling, community referrals and general welfare needs.- Liaising with other emergency services, community and Government agencies such as Ambulance, Fire, SES, Department of Human Services, Local Councils and community welfare groups.- Preparation of detailed reports and briefs of evidence for criminal and civil proceedings- Ability to follow instructions, guidelines and legislation.- Preparation of station rosters for 40 members.- Supervision of station personnel and those at neighboring stations- Training and leadership of junior members.

Intico & Australian NDT were companies providing testing and inspection services to the power, oil, paper and manufacturing industries.My duties as an NDT Technician included;- Quality control testing through the use of x-ray / radiation, ultrasonic, magnetic particles and dye-penetrant testing.- Conducting various tests on metal structures / machinery for structural defects or signs of corrosion at major industrial plants / workshops including; Loy Yang A & B, Hazelwood Power Station, Yallourn W Station, Energy Brix, Australian Paper, Petrol Refinery of Australia, Dow Chemicals, Trustweld, Cootes.- Compliance with Australian Standards, Government Legislations and industry and workplace safety procedures.- Liaising with clients, contractors and site engineers.
