I started working at Mulberry Studios in 2009 after spending many years as a Valuer and branch manager in Estate Agency. When the recession hit in 2008 I decided it was time to try a different industry, after being made redundant, and housing industry so on it's knees.. I wasn't really looking for Mulberry Studios, it kind of found me. I applied for a job in customer services, where I spent nearly four years. I now work as Office / Warehouse manager, although my duties reach beyond the title. Currently I do the following:- Manage office and warehouse staff, between 5-10 employees depending on work load.- Senior credit Controller. Chasing bad debtors, and assisting / overseeing the credit control team.- Customer services manager, dealing with issues or problems that may face our customer base, both good and bad.- Support the Customer services team.- Deal with international orders, from around the globe. making sure the Pickers pick and prepare the orders, My role is to invoice customers and liaise with the shippers.- Staff training.- liaising with recruitment agencies for temporary staffing roles.- Create customer order forms for new and existing products.- Checking and ordering of warehouse and office materials.- Staff recruitment for temporary and full time positions.

I joined Haart Estate Agents after getting a call from the branch Manager ( a previous collegue at Fulfords) one day to join the team and help the Exeter City Centre branch re-establish a strong position within the city.My main duties were Sales negotiation, Property Valuation. and showing prospective buyers around houses in order to make a sale. I was offered the Managers position after the Manager was made redundant. I declined the offer and left the company.

I joined Saleboards, which was a fairly new Agency to Exeter at the time. I joined them to help head up and Manage the new store they opened in Crediton in 2007, as well as working in the Exeter branch.My role here was Property Valuation, Sales negotiations and putting new instructions on the market, as well as establishing a new branch in a town.This was a difficult job as the recession hit the country, making a firm foothold in the town was very difficult in the climate of the time. I was made redundant from this position.

I went to a Fulfords open day and applied for a junior sales Negotiator position. However after 2 long interviews with the area Manager and Exeter City Center branch Manager, I was invited to be fast tracked into property valuations. After only a few months I was gaining properties on the market at fees of around 1.85 - 2.5%. My main roles within Fulfords were to value around 2-3 properties a day, and gain new instructions. Photograph and write up property particulars. I was also involved in general sales negotiations and seeing sales through to completion, liaising with clients and solicitors. I left Fulfords sales and joined Fulfords New Homes department. Valuing new builds and developments, as well as meeting with land owners and developers to discuss the best course of action to achieve maximum profit and selling of homes and new builds. I left this role after about 9 months to Join Saleboards Estate Agents to become a Branch manager for a new office that they opened in Crediton.
