Since graduating Raytheon's Rotational Engineering Leadership Development Program (RELDP), I was promoted to Senior Mechanical Engineer I. I remained in my role as a structural analyst working for Raytheon Missile systems. In this opportunity, I work on a large missile development program performing detailed analysis of a payload kit presented with unique and challenging loading environments. I've used ANSYS Workbench to create finite element models of non-linear stress analysis, and non-linear buckling (collapse) analysis of large structures with collapsible volumes. I also have experience using hand calculations to substantiate designs and make more rapid changes.I've also designed representative sub-scale tests of primary structure that reduce risk to the program while also meet challenging schedules. In order to do this, I used analysis to verify the loaded structure is representative of the full structure in the tactical environment.

Overall the experience really challenged me as a person and a leader, and provided me with insights I would never have without looking through the lense of the program. I heard directly from Business Unit VPs, Corperate VPs, CFOs, and even the CEO a few times while in the program, and their perspectives on business and where the business was going changed my outlook even on my day to day activities! I grew as an aspiring leader and as a person in this program, and won't forget the lesson's I've learned throughout the process.I was fortunate to be able to see another side of mechanical analysis at Raytheon using different methods and on entirely difference products. The experience really helped round out many of my abilities - especially in the areas of testing and loads development.In this position, I gained a variety of experiences as a structural analyst ranging from performing noise and vibration missile flight testing to qualification testing to structural analysis.

I worked in an analysis group that specialized in RF hardware including composite radomes. I have experience analyzing composite radomes - both sandwich and laminate structures. Also, I analyzed large metallic aero structures, such as NGJ.
