I help important institutions establish a strategic public voice by integrating brand marketing, reputation, and corporate culture. At the National Academies, I lead a team of communications and publishing specialists to fulfill our mission of using evidence-based analysis to advise the nation on issues of science, engineering and medicine. Through my service on the strategy committee for the operating arm of the National Academies, we are transforming 12 previously independent communications groups into a unified team to engage with audiences from Nobel laureates to early-career Americans. As corporate CMO at AIG, my global responsibilities included digital and content marketing, market research, brand strategy and design, advertising and sports sponsorship programs, corporate social responsibility, sustainability, and leadership of media relations and internal communications teams across Asia and Latin America. Previously, I launched the Goldman Sachs Brand Marketing Group, establishing board-level consensus for a global brand positioning that supported revenue growth from $7.5B in 1997 to over $51.0B. My team created brand communications, CSR and internal communications to help Goldman Sachs establish leadership on lists of best places to work, most admired companies and most valuable brands. I also led brand positioning, crisis communications, marketing and advertising programs for Goldman Sachs private wealth management and asset management businesses through a period of significant strategic investment. During my agency career, I was the account leader for clients in packaged goods and technology, and led efforts in new business, operations and corporate strategy.
