Responsibilities include the implementation/configuration of the system infrastructure design, security model, PCD network, AV, white listing, domain and active directory for Honeywell supplied new/upgrade Process Automation System (PAS)’s. Projects implemented include the migration of an existing Shell site whilst adhering to the Shell operational procedures also the implementation of a Tank Farm control system which included inventory control and product movement systems. The following is a list of key projects that I have worked on. It does not represent my entire career with Honeywell or all of the various roles I have undertaken – quite frequently I have worked on projects in parallel with the main projects listed above. These have included several hazardous trips providing technical support to an onshore pumping facility in the Yemen or a period of secondment to the Honeywell Software Design Centre (Australia) where I performed a product development testing and a product requirements definition role for the PlantScape product.

Performed various roles on a project delivering three new platforms and an existing facility located in the southern sector of the North Sea. This involved works at the fabrication yards and platforms final location.Key Responsibilities• Lead Engineer involved in the system setup, implementation testing and installation for the controls and safety automation systems (Clipper South & Breagh Alpha, RWE).• Interface testing to various third party packages including a ABB Electrical control system (Clipper South, RWE).• Provided offshore start-up cover for the installation of the platform onto the jacket (Breagh Alpha, RWE)• Honeywell engineering support for a safety system replacement on an existing offshore facility (Loggs, ConocoPhillips).• Successful Site Acceptance Testing and customer handover of two platforms including resolution of all punch list items (Clipper South, Breagh Alpha, RWE & Ensign, Centrica).

System design consultancy for a gas compressor expansion on an existing facility. Engineering around the limitations of the current system and liaising with the customer (BP) to provide a final design solution for implementation by a Honeywell affiliate.Key Responsibilities• Lead Engineer liaising directly with customer.• Design a solution for a network limited OPC traffic flow between third party systems utilizing the Honeywell PHD solution. • Proof of concept (POC) of OPC functionality from third party packages including the use of OPC Alarm and Event.• Third party Interface testing in Florence Italy, with all third parties present.• Design documentation, testing reports and design handover to Honeywell Singapore.

Honeywell’s (and Shell’s) largest project worldwide. Key member of the team designing, implementing and testing the core infrastructure of the Process Automation System (PAS).Key Responsibilities• All elements of design, from base hardware to network, documentation and leadership of the build process (180 servers and 70 workstations), ensuring consistency and integrity in the design process.• Responsible for software configuration and testing of the system architecture (total approx 600,000 points), ensuring all nodes managed under rigorous configuration control. • Responsible for the design and implementation of the automated back-up systems, anti-virus (AV), update and patch management systems (WSUS).• Lead Engineer for the implementation of the Osisoft PI historian system including interfacing with multiple Engineering Contractor teams, detailed design, build, test and on-site commissioning of the interfaces including 3rd party systems.• Site implementation support for central infrastructure, including liaising with Honeywell central product design centre and detailed analysis with the relevant system developers to resolve product related issues.• Installation and site acceptance testing of Osisoft PI Historian culminating in successful audit by Osisoft consultant.• Infrastructure configuration process accepted by Honeywell technical excellence centre to be used as a standard approach for future major projects.• Working with/application of the Shell group cyber security standards for the process control network.

Largest shopping development in Europe - 42 acre site with Building Controls, HVAC, Fire management, Security and monitored by 600 cameras. Development managed from a centralized control room controlled by a single converged platform, with fully integrated incident control across all systems.Key Responsibilities• Solution Architect for entire Honeywell offering, liaising directly with the customer, consultant and end user. • Technical Authority for product related issues and site operational concerns.• Team Lead Engineer for end to end product delivery - this included design documentation, customer approval process, engineering implementation, FAT/SAT testing, site installation, commissioning, and handover of the integrated control platform.• Customer Onsite training providing a detailed overview of the functionality and operation of the system.

Key member of project team delivering a fully integrated Stadium Control system controlling all aspects of Stadium operation including HVAC, Load Shedding Control, Smoke Control, Staircase Pressurisation, Access Control and CCTV Security, Fire Alarm, Integrated Public Address/Voice Alert/ Concert Grade Audio, Master Television Systems, Large Format Video Displays and Network Infrastructure supporting the above systems. Key Responsibilities• Design and implementation of a high level building application to integrate the supervisory stadium control system with all major subsystems including the HV/LV Power Subsystems.• Trouble-shooting and re-design of HVAC system control philosophy following initial incorrect implementation by a third party, including rapid rework of all software to very tight timescales.• Re-assigned as Lead Audio System Engineer following the failure of the equipment vendor to deliver turnkey solution. Successfully led a team to design, implement test and install a world-class concert grade digital audio system (the largest installation of its type in the world – another first for Honeywell).• Designed and implemented a complex power control strategy including load shedding regimes and black start sequence for all stadium systems based on the available power and current stadium event operating scenario.• Key member of the FAT testing team validating all sub systems to the integrated control system. • Key member of a customer specified post contract event support team, responsible for the smooth running of the initial events at the stadium.

Largest Greenfield BioPharma project in the world, Honeywell won the project to deliver the environmental control systems based on their world class Quality Assurance systems allowing the project delivery to meet strict GMP/GAMP practices. This was an HVAC control system utilising Honeywell process control systems to ensure the accuracy, availability, reliability and configuration control required in the Pharmaceutical industry (including FDA validation). Key Responsibilities• Controls Discipline Lead Engineer responsible for ensuring consistency and quality in software design and coding across a team of 25 engineers producing all control software on the project.• Documentation reviewer and Customer FAT test engineer.• Technical support and problem resolution of the condenser water sub systems, including identification of hydraulic design issues (including commissioning and handover).
