All faculty of Tennessee State University are expected to be excellent teachers; to be responsive to changing professional needs; to be committed to innovative delivery of instruction resulting in improved student learning; to be committed to effective use of technology including distance learning; to produce peer reviewed scholarship; and to provide service to the College, University and Community. Teaching assignments may be on the main campus or at the downtown-campus.Job Responsibilities: •Teaches in the College of Business - Business Administration Program - Hospitality Management concentration (3/3). Produces scholarly work in accordance with the peer review guidelines of the College of Business. Serves on TSU and COB and BADM committees. Participates in key industry associations to keep TSU program visible among professional and other academic institutions.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience or commitment to the use of technology in distance learning & university teaching. Interest in collaborating both within and outside the University in the development and delivery of instruction resulting in improved student learning. Must value continued scholarship and service to the college and University. Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent in Hospitality Tourism Management or an allied field is required for the position of Associate Professor. Previous industry and teaching experience. Evidence of quality research/scholarship/journal publications in the area of hospitality or tourism management.
