I teach students to analyze and respond to classic literature, preparing them for ivy-league colleges.

My primary responsibility at Tri-Valley Academy is the introduction of college-level reading and writing skills to elementary school students. I present advanced material in a comprehensible fashion that allows my students a jump start on the skills they will need to succeed in high school and in college. We study advanced literature, such as short stories by progressive and imaginative writers like Ursula K Le Guin. Furthermore, we write analytical paragraphs using a simple formula (TEA Cup) in a three-draft process. In addition, I privately tutor other students to read and write English as a second language.
