I contributed to the completion of power quality testing of an electronic cooling pump to be used on the Boeing 787. The tests involved checking the system response to various forms of power interruptions to the pump.I also helped develop a MATLAB power quality analysis tool that enabled engineers to easily generate reports by allowing them to quickly locate the relevant data within the gigabytes of information, isolate it, specify a few customizable options, then print out the report, showing whether the waveform passed or failed.

Conducted a piece part failure analysis of the boards on a highly complicated power converter for the F-35 Lightning. The failures were later tested using boards that had been modified to simulate the failures. Before and after testing, I performed a functional test on each board to ensure that testing was the cause of damage, if any.Supervised EMC testing of the same power converter system. The test checked for low noise emission, and sufficient noise immunity.

Reporting problems that occurred during automatic testing of aircraft motor controllers, GCU's, and BPCU's. Occasionally performing maintenance on loads or other parts that have strayed from their desired value during testing.Reworked test procedure for an aircraft power distribution system functional test. Discussed these changes with a packaging engineer, who designed the changes to be done to the existing test box.

Performed a pin failure analysis on Boeing 787 GCU and power distribution system, which required knowledge of the function of all power distribution hardware.Wrote a macro in visual basic to generate the table of potential pin failures (short circuits) based on the pin layout.Performed failure prediction analyses to determine the reliability of electrical hardware. The analysis uses field data about the failure rates of each component to determine the approximate probability of failure of the complete hardware.
