My contributions to the delivery of our diffuse pollution work were varied; I delivered 1 to 1 visits to farms where I ensured compliance with environmental regulations and promoted best practice in areas that can benefit the environment and the farm business. I also contributed to on-farm, one-to-many awareness raising events. I was a key member of a taskforce which delivered a GIS based app to enable on site monitoring of our key deliverables, allowing for fast and accurate reporting of findings.Using expertise developed during my MSc, I also linked my team to several of SEPA's science functions to deliver the evidence base that underpins our diffuse pollution work.This role allowed me to engage in a wide range of interesting working groups both internally and externally. Rural Sector Evidence Group - this internal group worked with all of SEPA's rural sector leads to identify, prioritise and deliver research to support our work in the rural environment. Farming and Water Scotland - delivered presentations to farmers in many catchments in the North of Scotland to inform of SEPAs work there and improve interactiosn between SEPA and the agri sector.
