Post Manager / Production Operative
Current• Responsible for machine set-up and operated high speed, robotic production machinery used in tyre manufacturing• Inputted weight and width data onto company computerised system in order to log and verify rubber product to ensure quality and traceability• Responsible for carrying out daily stock and production checks to ensure that internal customer demands were met and production targets achieved• Achieved internal ‘Spoke’ (empowered employee) roles and was responsible for ensuring that team members were sufficiently supplied with resources and PPE. Also responsible for team rotas, holiday leave and making minor machine adjustments and repairs across my area of responsibility • Ensured that overall product quality was maintained and operated within exacting Michelin Method of Work standards to minimise and eliminate quality non-conformances.• Operated as part of a 5 x person team across a 12 hour shift pattern• Monitored quality standards in production to meet exacting customer requirements, always maintaining an awareness of the needs of the internal customers in other departments as well• Attended Management Daily Performance meetings to agree daily plans and output requirements before relaying this information back to the rest of the team• Maintained work areas to stringent H&S legal requirements as well as internal company standards at all times• Gained company recognition for being part of first production team to achieve ‘Michelin Bib Standard’ across my area of responsibility
