In this role I strive to serve the local community of Santa Cruz by aiding in fixing and restoring people bicycles to working order. I get to actively practice my communication, team building, and problem solving skills in a dynamic environment.

This position involves creating and utilizing mathematical, and computational models to explore various climate-carbon cycle dynamic feedbacks. Using the python programming language, this research is done to contribute a deeper understanding of the mechanisms driving earth's climate. This work can be used to help scientists, engineers, and policy makers make more informed decisions regarding our future in the face of a rapidly changing climate.

Here I was a teachers assistant for the class "Introduction to Scientific Programming" in the Earth and Planetary Sciences department at UCSC. My responsibilities included leading weekly discussion sections where I would review class material with students, and grading students assignments. In this role I actively practiced my teaching, and scientific communication skills to undergraduate students at UCSC. The role required excellent knowledge in the Python programming language, as well as its scientific applications such as preforming data analysis, writing mathematical models of ordinary differential equation, and preforming linear algebra.

As a Calculus Tutor at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC), I provided comprehensive tutoring support to undergraduate students pursuing STEM majors. My role involved assisting students in both general and advanced calculus courses, ensuring their understanding of fundamental concepts and facilitating their academic success.

This role involves coordinating and organizing Earth Week programs in conjunction with the RCC CUIP Creating themed programs for Earth Week. Collaborate with campus environmental partners, faculty, and staff. Ensuring diverse viewpoints are shared in terms of racial and ethnic backgrounds, class differences, geographical positions, able-bodiedness, neurodivergency, et cetera.

This job included teaching kayak safety procedures, and proper ocean kayak technique, as well as overseeing the safety of tour groups of up to 30 people in a dynamic open ocean and sea cave environment. It also required extensive knowledge of the local aquatic and semi-aquatic plants and animals, and knowledge of the local history and natural history of the area. Furthermore this job included working with local lifeguards to assess ocean conditions and tour safety, being personable and helpful to tourists, and involved solving logistical problems such as availability and efficient distribution of kayaks, safety gear, and paddles. This job also demanded a high degree of physical labor in the forms of carrying, lifting, cleaning, transporting and storing kayaks and kayak equipment.

This job included overseeing day to day operations of the Solana Beach Jamba Juice store, a busy branch accepting up to 600 orders a day. Managing 3-6 employees per shift and frequently being the most senior on site, responsible for resolving costumer complaints and disputes with courtesy and professionalism. Included performing a variety of responsibilities from accounting for employee hours and tips, logging branch inventory, and maintaining facility health and safety codes. Responsible for overseeing on-site financials including cash storage, transfer, and safe operations. As well as responsible for general facility maintenance and resolving IT issues with POS, cash registers, bump screens, and computers.

This role included performing customer facing product preparation and point of sale, as well as back of house and store maintenance duties. Satisfying customer orders promptly and with courtesy and professionalism. Properly storing and managing food products. Cleaning and sanitizing store to both governmental and corporate standards. Keeping up in a fast paced work environment, preforming multiple tasks at the same time. Lifting heavy boxes and being on feet for multiple hours at a time.
