• Process of spectacle lens orders;• Mark up lenses to prescription, checking all received lenses for flaws in lenses ie. Rx and/or visual defects; • Fitting of edged lenses into spectacle frames;• Quality checking (rx, further check for flaws/damage to lenses/frame, frame set up, etc);• Chasing any orders approaching due date with manufacturers and informing customers of any delays;• Requesting credits of lenses supplied incorrectly (rx, coatings, lens type, etc);• Advising dispensers of frame suitability and any concerns worth noting regarding orders;• General maintenance of equipment and lab eg. cleaning of edgers, focimeters, etc.
