I'm a fully qualified chartered tax adviser and chartered accountant with over 12 years of working in tax for three global professional services firms. I spent almost 7 years working in PwC's corporation tax department and gained significant experience in tax compliance and tax consulting. During my time with PwC, I completed my chartered accountancy and chartered tax exams.I moved to Allen & Overy in September 2012 to initially undertake the role of international tax consultant, and was promoted to Manager level in May 2015. During my time at Allen & Overy my achievements have included the following:- Playing a leading role in successfully concluding long-running and high profile projects involving overseas offices.- Improving processes around foreign exchange reporting.- Delivering withholding tax presentations to staff on a number of occasions.- Selected as one of the participants in the office's inaugural Accelerated Development Programme (ADP), aimed at employees with future leadership potential. Subsequently selected as one of four participants to have made a particularly significant contribution to the programme.- Member of the office's Corporate Responsibility committee since May 2013, and appointed co-chair of the committee in May 2015.I moved to EY in September 2015 and have gained significant experience in advising on private equity and corporate transactions, group restructuring, group simplifications and international tax issues.
