Worked in the Collections (Credit Management) Department. Assisted members with their aging overdue loans and mortgages, and other credit related issues. Recommended legal action as needed and/or required. Worked with assigned branches and outside vendors including lawyers, real estate, property management, Equifax and TransUnion, third party collection agencies, and other lenders. Created and maintained appropriate reports for a variety of management and leadership staff.

In November of 2011 Nor-Don ceased to exist when EOS-CCA out of the US took over. A new company was created and I carried on my previous duties under a new title. The small staff size of my branch did not support the more reciprocal branch manager title of "Regional Director".

Started as a Senior Collections Specialist and I worked a variety of both retail and commercial accounts. I helped develop some initial dialer processes and campaigns as Nor-Don moved into using dialer technology. I was often used as the go-to person for especially difficult accounts. I took over as Branch Manager when the current one moved on in March of 2009. I maintained client relationships and deliverables, along with regular reporting. I worked to ensure that my staff were both compliant with provincial regulations and client expectations. I maintained achievement of the branch's revenue targets, which were typically the best per staff member within the company. A decision was made to downsize my branch in February 2010 after which we still maintained achievement of some of the highest revenue targets per staff throughout the company. I help my staff maintain the highest quality of calls which were often used as examples for staff in other branches.

I was recruited to be a recruiting and training manager. The owner tended to continue making the hiring decisions and we were often at odds over training. I worked to ensure that provincial regulations and collections practices were adhered to. I was assigned both commercial and consumer accounts to work, including large six-figure balances. I made a positive impact in helping to improve client results with our key clients. This company has since been bought out by a national agency.

I started here in August 2004 as a Senior Collections Specialist. I worked a variety of accounts including commercial, retail, education, banking, and student loans. I became a supervisor of the banking unit in January 2005. In August of 2006 I was promoted to Divisional Manager responsible for Training and Recruitment. In this position I attained my Commissioner for Oaths in and for the Province of Alberta.

I worked as a Collections Specialist, primarily on the CIBC unit. In my time we achieved some of the highest recovery rates for this client. At the end of July 2004 the Calgary branch was closed. I was offered a position in Edmonton but declined this offer.

I worked a variety of consumer and commercial accounts as a Senior Collections Specialist. I helped the company achieve first-place placements for a key client, RBC Visa.

I started as a new collection officer and was quickly identified for my supervisory and management qualities. I entered into a supervisory role in November of 2001 and was being trained to become a Collections Manager. In October 2002 outside factors forced the closure of the Calgary branch. I was offered a position in the Vancouver branch which I declined.

Became a licensed Life Agent offering and selling life products to both existing clients and new clients. At the time this company was PennCorp Canada Inc.

I worked primarily as an assembler of circuit boards and components for surge protection and power conditioning products. I also assisted with some testing of these same products. Cutler Hammer was a division of Eaton Corporation.

I served in the Army in both the Primary Reserve and Regular Force. I started in the Infantry where I became an instructor teaching on recruit and then leadership courses. I also held the position of Section Commander in my unit when not assigned to Battleschool. I transferred to Electrical Mechanical Engineering branch in my second contract with the Regular Force and became a Fire Control Technician. I returned to the Primary Reserve and finished my career there. I was awarded the Canadian Forces Decoration (CD) in 1993. I achieved the rank of Master Corporal in both trades (Infantry and Fire Control Technician) and was often in demand as an Instructor for courses being run at both Battleschool and within units I served in. I often instructed and assisted with annual unit combat qualifications. I often served in appointments beyond my rank such as a platoon second-in-command (often held by a Warrant Officer) and Section Commander (often held by a Sergeant).In my technical duties I repaired and refurbished a wide variety of electrical/electronic and optical/opt-tronic equipment for the Army with the exception of radios and radar (other trades handled those).
