My career has given me more than 40 years of knowledge and experience in two very different markets from manufacturing where it started for me as a machinist/toolmaker learning and understanding the logistics of the manufacturing and production, accumulating 21 years of manufacturing process and technics beginning at the bottom with Texas Instruments and Raytheon to concluding my manufacturing years with an Aerospace Company always striving to better myself and progressing to becoming Subject Matter Expert (SME) in my field. As with every career for many of us the economic diversity of our nation takes a turn and career paths change. I was fortunate to be introduced to the construction development market where I took on this new challenge head on by learning, listening to SMEs, gaining certifications along the way to become a SME in this market. Now, over 20 years experience in construction stormwater management, which include SWP3 consulting to big box retailers such as Home Depot and Kohls Department Stores, providing excellent customer service and providing compliance through Federal, State, and Local entities in multiple states across the nation. Today I have settled into the Great City of Grand Prairie Texas, where I have established their Stormwater Program from the ground up, and along the way have become a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM), and Supervise an extraordinary talented team of Inspectors where my role with Grand Prairie includes,Stormwater inspection coordination, develop and implement policies and inspection procedure protocols; Floodplain investigation and Complaint/Conflict response and resolution. Oversee programs to monitor, inspect, document, construction activities, maintenance on post construction stormwater controls (i.e., detention/retention pond facilities), drainage issues, and public complaint response, coordinate and report MS4 activities. Always striving to building effective working relationships with Citizens, other City Departments, Council and City Management.
