As the Head of Strategic Partnerships and Innovation at BMT, I collaborate with clients to drive our growth and scaling strategy. My role blends technical expertise, strategic vision, and business development with innovative thinking to create impactful solutions and strengthen industrial partnerships. As a strategic thinker, I am committed to identifying new opportunities and fostering innovation. My experience includes leading cross-functional teams and initiating change in dynamic environments, all fuelled by a passion for sustainable growth.

As Project Lead I was involved in designing, developing and delivering bespoke solutions for the FMCG industry. Projects consist of simulation services, analytical model development and implementation, along with assisting clients on their journey towards sustainable solutions. The key aspect in my role is translating the virtual and physical data generated during the project into tangible actions for the client in the short-term, whilst helping the client develop the tools they require in the long-term. The innovative nature of this work is highlighted by the two US patents I have contributed towards as a co-inventor.

R&D Engineer, focusing on the mechanical analysis of polymer forming during and post deformation. Developing experimentally validated FE simulations, used to optimise process conditions and product design.Key skills include Python, numerical material models, Abaqus, Solid Works, mechanical testing, WAXS, SAXS and DSC .

• Design of experiments, to determine polymer grade and processing conditions.• Preform preparation through injection, compression and extrusion.• Mechanical analysis – stress-strain response during forming, correlating with the processing conditions and the effect of processing on the mechanical properties post-deformation. • Microstructure analysis to correlate changes in mechanical response, using both offline WAXS, SAXS along with in-line (synchrotron). • Numerical material models applied, coded in python, to model the stress-strain response, where model was fitted to experimental data.• Simulation of mechanical testing in Abaqus, to curve fit experimental data and optimise processing conditions. • Project management and mentoring of under-graduate students

As of a research project for aimed at further developing bioresorbable vascular scaffolds, I spent 3 months studying and analysing x-ray data. This involved developing custom python scripts to extract, analyse and fit over 150GB of x-ray data.

As part of the design team I was responsible for the redesign of an existing manifold. The aim was to reduce the cost of the design and to improve the manufacturability of the overall design using LEAN principles.

As part of the NPI team, I was responsible for the design and development of mechanical housing components. This included 3D Solid Works models, technical 2D drawing along with assembly drawings and assembly procedures for production.
