Participated in the team to divest the businesses to McPherson's Ltd.

Smith and Nephew was a global supplier of Heathcare and FMCG products with Sales of GBP 1,120m pa and PBT of GBP 162m pa. The Australian operation turnover was $120m pa with PBT of $11m pa. The business was restructured in 1999 resulting in involving the disposal of the FMCG business, closure of Australian manufacturing, establishment of a JV with Biersdorf, and the disposal of properties. Key consumer bands included Nivea, Elastoplast, Simple, and Dove Cotton.A member of the project team that managed restructuring the Australia business unit including disposal of business units, closure of local manufacturing, establishment of a JV and shared services, and exiting non-core assets. Participated and provided data for due diligence work streams associated with the business restructuring.Reporting to the FD responsible for statutory and management reporting, tax compliance, budgets and forecasts, FX exposures, and staff supervisiion and development.Acted as Company Secretary and as a trustee for the company's self managed superannutaion plan.
