XUP, short for transactions “up”, is a vertically focused payment platform that provides a seamless connection between financial services, processors, merchants, and ultimately customers. A division of Midtown Consulting Group, XUP combines years of industry experience with deep payments and technology expertise to bring transaction driving payment processing solutions to Healthcare, Banking, and Logistics markets.

-Built an application from the ground up using React, Node.js, and internal RESTful web services.-Work with business partners to design and implement prototypes.-Analyze applications to find existing issues and determine strategies to prevent and improve the overall system.

• Designed and Implemented new internal back-end Java systems used to integrate with external third-party applications such as Garmin, Salesforce, AT&T, QuickBooks, Multispeak.• Implemented and oversaw enhancements to SOAP and REST web services used by customers to interact with company data. Enhancements allowed for services to be dynamic and scalable.• Designed and implemented data driven Java systems using Spring Integration and messaging to dynamically push data internally and externally.• Enhanced existing code and added new functionality to front-end web application using JSP, Javascript, and JQuery.• Mentored junior developers and new hires in coding practices and company standards.• Integrated the team with new processes such as test automation, peer reviews, and a team wiki in order to help the team perform to their maximum potential.• Worked with Microsoft’s SSRS to create customer facing reports.

• Developed complex desktop and mobile applications that consisted of back-end Java web services, running on a Tomcat server in a Red Hat Linux environment, and front-end clients implemented in a combination of .NET, .NET CF, JSP/Struts, JQuery and HTML. • Created and optimized SQL queries used by multiple applications.• Oversaw a team of offshore developers and played a key role in the design and implementation of a new mobile inventory application, which replaced an outdated desktop solution.• Designed and implemented a mobile self-updater that enabled applications to update without interaction from a provisioning team.• Designed and implemented a mobile event system that pushes events from a central server to thousands of devices across the country.• Constructed prototypes that would become full-scale applications.• Created standards, tutorials, scripts, and examples for multiple technologies and frameworks, which were used by multiple developing teams.• Involved in entire project life cycles, which included designing, implementing, leading, and supporting software rollout.• Worked closely with business partners and matrix teams to produce customer friendly applications.

I created scheduled dynamic revenue reports and maintained the report server for the finance department. Once the application was created, I put together demonstrations, which I used to present the software to numerous groups throughout the company. I also performed tasks to optimize software created with JSP and struts.
