I am currently a Managing Director with J.S. Held and am based in Edinburgh, the UK. I have over 34 years of experience in construction and provide expert services on quantum matters, commercial management, contractual claims, insurance claims, ADR, risk management, and liquidation & administration issues.I have held Claims, Commercial and Contract Management positions with contractors (civil, building & MEP) and consultants in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Philippines, Cyprus and the United Arab Emirates. Past prestigious projects include the Abu Dhabi Louvre, the Burj Khalifa (the tallest building in the world), Dubai International Airport, Abu Dhabi International Airport, Hong Kong International Airport, Kuala Lumpur International Airport, the Dubai Mall, the Burj Al Arab, the Petronas (KL) Twin Towers, the Dubai Royal Airwing, the Hong Kong MTR, and The Bosphorus Railway Tunnel Crossing. My experience on other projects includes eight separate power stations (gas, combined cycle, coal & nuclear fired), schools, hospitals, housing, industrial buildings, hotels, large industrial plant installation, oil & gas installations, TBM & cut and cover tunnelling, rail, and military projects.My experience in these areas has led me to specialise in commercial management, contractual claims for time and cost, dispute resolution, insurance claims, liquidation recovery, and the successful conclusion of large value or complicated accounts.
