CurrentAs Director of Environmental Compliance for one of Vermont’s largest petroleum retailers, my responsibilities include facility compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations including Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), US EPA Underground Fuel Storage Tanks regulations (40 CFR Part 280, 40 CFR Part 281 and 40 CFR Parts 282.50-282.105), and all applicable State of Vermont Agency of Natural Resources and Department of Environmental Conservation rules and regulations.Additional responsibilities include preparation and administration of subcontractor requests for proposals for retail fuel station upgrades including underground fuel storage tank operation & maintenance, management and oversight of environmental investigations and remediation, along with compliance with all applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations for facility construction upgrades.I provide direct oversight to environmental consultants and interface with the State of Vermont and New Hampshire environmental regulatory agencies including both State's Underground Storage Tank Program and the Petroleum Reimbiursement Funds. As Director of Environmental Complaince, I created a streamlined approach for efficient management of hazardous waste by creating our internal hazardous waste depot leading to cost savings across the company.
