Store Manager
CurrentIn 2007 I started having seizures. In Utah if you have a seizure your Drivers License is suspended for 3-months. Since my position required me to visit 8 to 10 stores twice a week I had to take a leave of absence. After 3-months I returned to my position as a Business Consultant just to suffer a second seizure a month later.I have now been seizure free since 2008. Due to the extended amount of time I had to be away from work, my position could not be held and had to be filled. Upon my return I was given the only position available, a Store Manager. As a Store Manager my abilities are severely under utilized. However my responsibilities now include but are not limited to: The day to day operation of a high volume, high revenue 7-Eleven convenience store. I oversee 7 to 12 employees, which include Interviewing, hiring, progressive counseling, termination procedures as well as training/coaching, Human Resource issues. I deal with vendors on a daily basis, Ordering products which meet my customer/guests needs, merchandising the entire store to meet the needs of my guests based on sales/movement and ever changing customer/guest demands, Store image is a constant responsibility that I take seriously (This would include issues surrounding cleanliness, and safety, inside and out) I have earned an average score of 94% out of 100% on the monthly In-House Cleanliness surveys. I do regular completive price surveys of nearby retail outlets viewed as competition to provide my customers/guests with the best value around.
