I will be working to revitalizing this store. We will be starting with product mix and layout. Followed by establishing an educational programs to develop a knowledgeable staff.

This is one of three hardware stores in a family run chain of Ace stores. I helped built this store from the ground up. I helped with the build out planned, helped lay out store fixtures, and established product displays. Opened the store June 15th of 2016 with one other fulltime employees and a part time cashier. We ran it as a "do whatever it takes" business. Working as many hours as needed and fixing problems after hours. As this store grew I was asked to also manage a three thousand square foot warehouse that would supply the rest of the chain with seasonal products. I exited with six full time teammates and four part time team members. Each with their own responsibilities and growth plans. In addition to managing the day to day of the store I also built and managed an advertising plan for the store in this chain.

Run day to day operations, maintaining store inventory, pricing, public relations through social media, opening and close business daily, and most importantly educating and assisting customers. Outside of daily operations I particularly enjoy repairing small engines; chain saws, brush cutters, lawnmowers, and snow blowers to name a few.

Worked with Brian Russart and the rest of the natural areas staff in numerous projects, including but not limited to; breeding bird surveys, ephemeral pond surveys, trail maintenance, and aquatic species inventory. This position required the ability to properly identify plant and wildlife species, as well as map these species using a GPS and Arc GIS.

Participated in a study on Lianas and the effect their competition for resources has on host trees. This position required the use of a GPS unit to locate specimens, species identification, as well as precise data collection and management.

Main responsibilities were conducting Visitor Use Monitoring Surveys, trail and camp site maintenance, and general assistance with biological research. I particularly enjoyed banding kestrels.
