I am grateful to continue a wonderful and rewarding journey that started in March of 2000 when I began my career as a board-certified music therapist.My private practice is Melbye Music LLC. While most of my work has been with those receiving hospice care, I continue to serve a wide variety of clients from young adults to the elderly as well as those experiencing cognitive, physical, emotional and spiritual challenges.I also greatly enjoy providing music for weddings, memorial services and other special events. I have many years of experience and am versed in numerous styles of music.While voice and guitar are my principal instruments, I have also utilized the Q chord, the Reverie Harp, the Native American Flute, the lap (Appalachian) dulcimer, the ukulele and the electric bass at special events, as a soloist or with other musicians. I also enjoy teaching any and all of the preceding instruments and am available for lessons, including via Skype!Family, friends, animals, nature, food, humor and service to others also make life wonderful.
