Since I popped into existence around 29 years ago I have collected a fair amount of life-, work-, and travel-experience, of which you will find a selection on this page.My interest lies in the living nature and how knowledge thereof can help us to answer the challenges of our age. Currently I work as a research associate at Wageningen University (NL), where I develop novel, insecticide-free methods to prevent the transmission of mosquito-borne diseases like malaria, dengue, yellow-fever, etc. Besides this, I share the beauty and wonders of nature with other people as host on Flateland Camping in the Setesdal in southern Norway and as tour leader/guide for SNP nature tours.Personal characteristics I value are: a broad interest in the world around me, not being afraid of hard work and a healthy, cheerful and positive attitude towards life.
