I am an independent music promoter and promote shows of various genres in London and other UK cities.I have been promoting for 33 years and have run venues and promoted shows from 100 capacity to 10,000 capacity. In the last few years I have been a big advocate of the digital revolution and the new way of working and have had a strong involvement with Music Glue, a customisable direct to fan online e-commerce, ticketing and marketing software solution for artists, managers venues, promoters and festivals. Some artists I work or have worked with as an independent promoter are: Ben Howard, Bellowhead, Laura Cantrell, Toots & The Maytals, Eddi Reader, North Mississippi Allstars, Katzenjammer, Thea Gilmore, Moulettes, The Strokes, Chuck Berry, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Cara Dillon, Graham Parker, Stephen Lynch, Andy McKee, Tommy Emmanuel, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Brandi Carlile, Kitty, Daisy & Lewis, Fisherman's Friends, Jesse Malin, Guy Clark, Rosanne Cash, Newton Falkner, Tony Joe White, Eddi Reader, Sarah Jarosz, I'm With Her, Foy Vance, Rhiannon Giddens, The Selecter, The Delines to name but a few.I helped start and set up Communion Presents, the live section of Communion Records - an independent label and promotion company part owned by Ben Lovett (Mumford & Sons). I'm not active on everyday business now but we do still work together and I have an interest in the company. Some artists Communion currently work with are The Staves, Michael Kiwanuka, Half Moon Run, Deep Vally, Foy Vance, Daughter, Matt Corby, Ben Howard, Bear's Den, Nick Mulvey, George Ezra, James Bay, Wunderhorse to name but a few .....I own and programme The London Roots Festival that takes place at various London venues over October and November. The festival has been running for 10yrs now but didn't take place in 2020 & 2021 and 2023 has been low key as I intend to make a different event in 2024 so more info will follow on this soon.

  I'm an independent promoter working mainly in London and some regionals.I started out booking the 120 cap Dublin Castle venue in London from 1990 to 1996 then went on to book and programme Dingwalls in London from 1996 to end of 2018. I have been promoting independently since 1996.I promote Roots/Folk/Country/Alt Country/Americana/Blues/Reggae and some hip hop.I played an integral part in the founding of Communion Presents in the early days and their Bushstock Festival that I helped create and run for the first few years.I run and programme 'Future Juke: A Festival of 21st Century Blues - a multi venue event in London that takes place in June.I run and programme 'The London Roots Festival - a multi venue event in London that takes place in Oct Nov.Examples of artists that I work with or have worked with:Ben Howard, Ry Cooder, Toots & The Maytals, Bear's Den, The Staves, Foy Vance, Rosanne Cash, Sarah Jarosz, Molly Tuttle, Big Star, Dermot Kennedy, Brandi Carlile and many more.
