Research on macroeconomic challenges faced by oil and mineral rich countries.

Main responsibility was to facilitate budget planning and execution by providing forecasts and analytical reports. Tasks include updating macro-fiscal projections, budget impact evaluations, assessing PFM indicators, participating in discussions with consultants and multilateral development assistance partners (e.g. IMF, World Bank, DFID, AfDB). I have also worked extensively on mineral taxation evaluation and forecasting, medium-term macroeconomic projections, developing a proposal for a Fiscal Rule for Sierra Leone and creating the outline of the new Public Investment Plan of the Government.

Main task was to provide budgetary forecasts for the Inflation Report and provide regular assessment of budget proposals and fiscal developments. I also worked on improving some of the methodologies in order to assess the ongoing fiscal measures in greater depth.

My task was to provide forecasts on spending of central budgetary institutions, on public health spending and on government wage bill. The institution was then newly created therefore I was required to gather data, consult with experts, and develop a methodology by myself based on what I later provided regular forecasting and reporting. The staff of the Fiscal Council was dissolved in December 2010.

Contributed to the assessment of the public service agreement indicators on ageing society, supported the work of contracted researchers preparing studies on demographic issues.
