Improve GM’s Light Duty and Heavy Duty Truck portfolio by driving profit enhancing initiatives that capitalize on historical and emerging industry trends while prioritizing evolving customer needs. Managed the process whereby portfolio changes transition from proposals to approved modifications which directly impact GM's global vehicle portfolio. Leverage competitive trends, market shifts, as well as implications of autonomous, electrification, urban mobility, and other aspects critical to the transportation industry to ensure GM's portfolio remains competitive and profitable.

Led and supported multi-disciplinary projects requiring cross-functional collaboration in functions and business areas throughout GM including:Vehicle Programs: Member of a small project management team tasked with leading vehicle profitability improvement initiatives that covered all matters pertinent to the program’s business case. What started out with one platform expanded to seven with intent of increasing revenue while reducing cost by considering marketing strategy, manufacturing efficiencies, engineering cost reduction, supply chain and logistics improvements, and content optimization.IT/Finance: Led a small group through the operational excellence methodology (via DMAIC) to assess and improve the process by which the organization determines and therefore claims tax credits based on certain R&D expenses. The improved process is expected to increase tax credit claims by as much as $5M annually. Manufacturing: Managed a scrap reduction project at a powertrain manufacturing plant that has yielded significant decreases in scrap production. The project required several process changes that increased the fidelity of the data used for continuous problem solving as well as the methodology in which accountability was identified.Residual Value: Headed a small team tasked with developing a system dynamics model with the intent to identify opportunities by which vehicle residual value could be optimized. The successful use of advanced analytics provided significant insights and the model continues to be leveraged.

Tank and Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC)Supported multiple Live Fire (LF) events to evaluate effectiveness of armor solutions to defeat improvised explosive devices and rocket-propelled grenades (RPG's). Designed and developed a novel RPG defeat system that is currently undergoing LF evaluation. Furthermore, served as a primary engineer in developing RPG defeat evaluation criteria necessary to evaluate prospective technologies for use on military vehicles.

Tank and Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC)Acted as participant and team leader for TARDEC’s environmental auditing group, which served to ensure compliance with an internal management system based on ISO 14001 standards. Participated in the routine audits of over 25 laboratories throughout TARDEC and guided actions required to remedy audit findings.

Tank and Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC)Completed a six-month assignment after being deployed to Bagram Airfield Afghanistan. Acted as one of two lead civilian engineers tasked with directly supporting the Army’s Mine Resistant Ambush Protected fleet of vehicles throughout Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Provided the warfighter with engineering solutions, including a repair methodology for rocket-propelled grenade defeat technology that saved over $4 million in new equipment procurement costs, and reduced logistical pressure on shipping replacement components.

- Led a complete overhaul of the technical assembly instructions utilized to build each of the high speed reciprocating compressors produced at General Electric’s Oshkosh location.- Conducted a series of lean manufacturing exercises targeting tool use that afforded the ability to more efficiently fabricate the aforementioned compressors.
