Boating is in my blood. As a kid in the late 1940's and early 1950's I was fortunate to have spent summers at our cottage on Little Sodus Bay in Fair Haven, N. Y. Boating was aboard a 14' wood skiff with 3hp Champion outboard motor and a tin can for a bilge pump. Many fond memories for sure!Fast forward to the early 1970's when I purchased a 30' 1938 Richardson Sedan Cruiser for $800! After two years of blood, sweat and salty language my first trip took me to the fuel dock at Anchor Yacht Sales in Sodus Point,. N.Y. While I'm "filling the tanks" the marina owner stopped by and asked me if I had ever considered selling boats. I simply said, "When do I start?"A lot has changed since that fateful day ...prices are much higher, the variety of boats much greater, and the overall quality and safety is better than ever.But some things never change and that includes a universal desire to spend time on the water with family and friends.
