Currently seeking employment as a government analyst or project manager in Canada.Given the chance to speak with you, my past employers would tell you: I am forthright; I ask questions – lots of them; I have a natural curiosity and, from that, a willingness to try my hand at any task thrown my way; and whether training and managing 150 elections staff or organizing my parents’ Tupperware cupboard, I love to solve a puzzle. As an example: I was three months into a new job with the Village of Slocan, British Columbia. My supervisor, and the only other administrator, had just left on extended vacation when I was told a local developer had started construction on an illegal road through a forested village park. With no prior experience, I liaised with the local police, organized meetings of the Village Council, and instructed the Village’s lawyer as we petitioned for a legal injunction. Through some tense moments and face-to-face interactions with an extremely agitated developed, we kept our heads, followed due process, and persuaded him to stop work and petition Council for alternatives.I recently completed my Master of Public Policy at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin.
