David Mitchell is a seasoned land administration expert with a proven track record in academia, research, and consultancy. Internationally recognized as an expert in the interrelationships between land tenure, disaster risk, and climate vulnerability, David holds a PhD in Land Administration and multiple advanced degrees, bringing a deep understanding of land tenure, urban development, and data management. He is an Honorary Associate Professor at RMIT University.With over two decades of teaching experience at the undergraduate level, David is a respected educator, recognized with the RMIT Science Engineering and Health Award for Teaching Excellence in 2013. His research focuses on the intersection of land administration, climate change, and disaster risk reduction, with a particular emphasis on securing and safeguarding land tenure rights.
