I´m responsible for the screen printing and packing plants which include the following processes: samples, production, transfers and embroidery. Also responsible for the longterm planning for the Nicaragua and Honduras sewing facilities. I have to make sure that budgets, efficiencies and quality are met so that we can deliver the best product at the best price to our customers. Our 3 largest customers are Adidas, Nike & Armani.

Responsible for making sure all dzs committed are knit, wet processed and packed on time with the correct quality standards to meet our customer’s dates.Review the supply line of raw materials and trims to make sure production process is not interrupted while also trying to maintain minimum stock.Weekly scheduling of 3500 knitting machines based on customer demand and always optimizing changes to maintain efficiencies.Work with Corporate and sales to make sure all forecast changes are worked into the pipeline as smooth and as fast as possible.Responsible for the following areas: Production planning, scheduling and shipping.

Shipping over 2 million Dzs a month for retailers such as Nike, Adidas, Gap and others. My responsibilities included:Knitting, Dying, Cutting, Sewing, Wash, Printing, Embroidery and Finishing, using 3 sewing contractors, 2 wash houses, 2 textile mills, 2 screenprinting plants, 1 embroidery plant & 1 packing plant.All communication must flow smoothly throughout the whole manufacturing process and has to be planned backwards from the Customer Delivery Date to the yarn requirements.In order to properly forecast, plan and schedule we must integrate all processes involved and create the proper tools usable by all departments and make sure everyone involved is customer oriented and knows the most important rule is “To Ship quality goods on time”, well within the profit requirements of the company. Directly responsible for the following departments: Costumer Service, Production Scheduling, Order entry, Logistics, Pre-Prep & Raw material Purchasings.Active representative of the Lean Sigma Core group organizing Kaizen events.

As manager of this department I was responsible for controlling the manufacturing process in all Garan Plants in Central America: Honduras (03), El Salvador (07). My job was to make sure the piece goods arrived in our plants on time, in order to be processed and delivered on the due date back to the customer as finished goods. In order to complete this task I worked with the manufacturing managers and plant managers budgeting projections according to their different builds and monitoring the whole production cycle which included cutting, sewing, packing and shipping. I was involved in all quality and production problems that came up and kept weekly controls to ensure that all plants were meeting their schedules and therefore kept up with our customer’s deliveries.
