My interdisciplinary project focused on developing clean, efficient, environmentally friendly and selective electro-synthetic routes to 18F radiopharmaceuticals for use in the medical imaging technique, positron emission tomography (PET). We aimed to do this by developing new electrochemical fluorination protocols that utilise mild sources of fluoride ions.
