I have over 30 years of construction experience, with 20+ years in the Superintendent role. During my years in the construction field I have gained significant experience from the building of both tilt wall and structural masonry construction; to structural framing and box construction and was a construction layout person for a high rise building. As a Superintendent, I have been responsible for the supervision of 200 people at one time. While using programs like Project, Sure Trak, Microsoft Word and Excel, to create effective job schedules, along with ensuring accurate scheduling and quality control of those subcontractors. I have been in charge of checking submittals and contract documents (drawings and specifications) to verify proper materials are used and are correctly installed. Furthermore, I have scheduled timely inspections for various subcontractors, along with creating ongoing weekly agendas, and two-week look-ahead schedules for subcontractor meetings. In addition, I have assisted in writing Request for Information (RFI’s) to both architect and engineer of the project and been in charge of the daily documentation, reports, and journals. As a result, I have a thorough understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel programs and consider myself a quick learner of any documentation procedures.
