Formerly the Oakland Small Schools Foundation, served as a founding board member and treasurer, supporting the procurement of significant funding to assist dozens of Oakland small schools in their efforts to sustain high quality programming serving Oakland's historically least well-served students. The foundation grew to become the Oakland Public Education Fund, now supporting all publicly funded schools in Oakland.
