30 Years of professional experience as a Designer and Special Makeup Effects Artist, which has allowed me to branch out and explore various paths as an artist... from puppetry and live action character creation to concept design to prosthetic makeup to 3D printing to specialty costuming and prop making... I have been blessed to have an occupation where I never get bored.I have had the great fortune to serve as the Art Department Coordinator at Legacy Effects for the past decade, where I collaborate with a team of unbelievably talented craftspeople and artists to create some of the most stunning and memorable characters for film, television, commercials, video games, concerts... you name it, we do it. I've contributed on projects such as Avatar, the Avengers, the Mandalorian, and Jurassic World... delivering high quality results that exceed clients' expectations and vision.I started as an intern at Stan Winston Studio while still attending high school. After graduating I was accepted to the USC School of Cinema and was about a month away from my first semester when I received a job offer from SWS. It was my Sophie's Choice moment... and I opted to put my education on hold and try on a career in makeup effects to see how it fit, as the business was an irresistible blend of art and science bringing imaginary characters to life. I learned from some of the best mentors and masters in the industry, developing a diverse and varying skill set through the years. One of the greatest honors was being asked to become an instructor at the Stan Winston School of Character Arts, where I share my knowledge and passion with the next generation of artists. I love what I do, and I am always eager to learn new methods and technologies that can enhance my craft and expand my tool box.
