David Mora is a Senior Vice President within the U.S. Bank Emerging Business Group Division, where he expertly leads a team of dynamic commercial bankers in Southern California. With over 25 years of experience in banking and the public sector, he has dedicated his career to scaling businesses and fostering community economic development. His passion lies in developing people, extrapolating their passions, and aligning those desires with the company's vision. He strongly believes that highly engaged teams who focus on customers with greater energy and purpose drive greater results.His extensive background includes regional division management, bank and business consulting, strategy, finance, credit/risk management, and sales management. Prior to joining USBank, he held several leadership positions, including Business Banking Team Leader at Comerica Bank and Business Banking Area Manager at Chase Bank. He also gained valuable public sector experience working directly for three separate Los Angeles City Mayors in different economic development capacities. He is a passionate advocate for urban and infill economic development and public/private partnerships. He served as Director of the Los Angeles Business Team and Executive Director of the Los Angeles Minority Business Opportunity Center or LA MBOC, which was awarded "Best Performing" by the U.S. Department of Commerce in 2007 for facilitating access to capital and contracting to minority and women-owned businesses.He is a servant leader and an active member and volunteer of many community and business organizations throughout Los Angeles. He is the Chair of the Los Angeles Latino Chamber of Commerce Corporate Advisory Board and Executive Board Member, Treasurer of the Watts Learning Center Charter School (K-8), Loan Committee Member for the Los Angeles County Development Authority, Finance Chair of Saint Anastasia Church & School, and member of the USC Latino Alumni Association Gala Committee. Mora received a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship from the USC Marshall School of Business. His personal interests include empowering young people, quality education access for all, spending quality time with family, his parish, and bike beach riding.
