Manufacturing Engineer
Current- Learned concepts of the Toyota Production System including Kaizen (continuous improvement) to optimize processes.-Standardized manufacturing processes through PFMEA, Process Planning Sheets, and General Engineering Design Sheets-Investigated in-house defects by applying Genin Tsuikyu (root-cause analysis) and implemented shot-term and long-term solutions.- Utilized the 5S methodology for workspace enhancement and streamlined problem detection.- Designed and installed sensors and datum pins to machines for new model.- Collaborated in the line move of a process that uses a testing robot by reteaching robot path and configure machine parameters to effectively communicate with the robot.- Tested functionality of robot programs by running good and NG parts, taking into account quality items and adjusting parameters as needed.- Collaborated with external and internal group members of the company to move and implement equipment needed for new model.- Programmed PLC logic to include Pokayoke (mistake-proofing) sequences in process machines to reduce the impact of human error and verification of product specifications.- Modified PLC program to assist maintainance activites and ensure continuous production.
