CurrentWorked to develop a process for the strategic optimization of LTL hub linehaul network which logs ~15M miles per year. Used JDA Transportation Modeler to analyze order data and provide recommendations to right-size the fleet schedule. • Created database to automate the creation of JDA import files from transportation management system export files and other master data.• Identified opportunities to bypass hubs and create multi-stops.• Built custom macro-enabled spreadsheet to take scheduled loads, identify every potential valid weekly trip for those loads based on user-defined routing criteria, and select the combination of trips which maximizes miles for the current driver pool.• Analyzed the network impact of forecasted volume change including seasonal peak and adding or removing large customers. • Pulled TMW manifest data, compared actual path of orders to optimal path suggested by JDA, and identified $700K of potential annual savings by shipping to the correct hub.• Recommendations helped reduce the number of spot buys and cancellations with an annual estimated savings of $600K.
