David is an experienced human resources consultant and advocate based in Auckland. He contracts directly to clients of his own small consulting business Cutting Edge Solutions Limited. During David’s more than thirty years working primarily in industrial relations he has specialised in complex bargaining solutions, workplace restructuring and re-organisation, and employment agreement reform for a wide range of clients. David is especially experienced in facilitating and managing diverse teams to ensure that shared articulated goals are met or exceeded, and that individual team members perform and grow beyond their own expectations. Until April 2024 David was Advocacy Lead on behalf of Allied, Scientific and Technical employees in the Health Sector. During 2023 this involved leading the successful pay equity campaign on behalf of this workforce, following a decade of leading collective agreement negotiations for this workforce and for Resident Doctors in the Health sector. In October 2024 David returned to work in the Health Sector as Co-Leader Industrial MERAS.David has served on a number of governance Boards including Boards of Trustees and a number of Industry Training Organisations.
