Senior Engineer - Asset Design
Current• Designed overhead and underground 12.47 kV power lines for internal customers, FDOT, Pinellas County and City projects. I have developed multiple skills reading civil drawings along with understanding not only how Duke Energy facilities work, but how other utilities operate their infrastructure alongside us. • Managed projects valued over 5 million dollars for capital improvement, FDOT, and storm hardening projects. • Lead substation optimization projects with construction, schedulers, PM, leadership, and communications.• QA/QC workorders from contractors, provided design feedback, approved design changes, and be a point of contact related to anything of the overall project. • Worked with multiple municipalities to convert their power line infrastructure underground. I have worked with and presented in front of city council/leaders on my project. I have also worked with city consulting firms by taking their scope, providing them a design/cost, and then seeing the project from start to completion. • Developed relationships with multiple joint users, FDOT, county, and cities representatives within Pinellas County.• Excellent communication skills hosting a variety of meetings, events, trainings, and being able to effectively communicate my ideas/designs to each specific target audience. • Student Intern Program Coordinator– Since 2019, I have recruited, interviewed, and hired over 50 interns in Duke Energy Florida. I have also hosted our yearly central/coastal intern presentations in front of leaders, coworkers, and interns.
