At Off the Rail Brewing Co., we love making craft beers almost as much as we enjoy drinking them.Steve is the founder and brewer of Off the Rail. Ask anybody who knows him; craft beer has been a passion of his for a long time. In the 80’s, trips to Europe and the US led me to discover a whole new world of micro-brews; traditional English Ales, German lagers and US IPA’s. This was the beginning of his love affair with craft beer. The thirst for unique beer just grew from there. In the early ‘80s, his family opened a live music bar called The Railway Club in downtown Vancouver where they introduced some of his favorite craft beers to customers. As craft beer became more popular in the 1990’s, the selection was expanded to support the growing local craft breweries. ‘The Rail’ as it came to be known, soon carried one of the largest selections of local craft draught beer in Vancouver. They sold in 2008 and then he began to bring the dream to reality...Off The Rail Brewing is equipped with a 2000 L. Brew house and both 4000L and 2000L. Fermentation tanks.Our 4000L tanks are home to our ‘main line’ beers with the 2000L. tanks normally reserved for seasonal brews.Many of our tasting room beers are done in a 45L test batch system and are only available until the next batch is complete. Some make there way to a 2000L. batch for 650 ML. bottles.Steve’s love for traditional English Ales, German lagers and US IPA’S make up the majority of what we brew…along with a few other gems that we put into our tasting room rotation.

Marichel Vineyard is a fantastic small-production Estate in Naramata, BC. Their focus on Rhone varietals is unique to the Okanagan, and with a great vineyard site comes great ripeness of fruit. Owner Richard Roskell’s opinion is that a great wine is grown, not made, as seen in his let the grapes and vintage dictate the wine that ends up in your glass!

Hops & Vine Consulting is a wine, beer and spirits sales and distribution company that focuses on the boutique winery, craft brewery & Artisanal spirit producers.Thus far we are the sales agent for Pentage Winery (Penticton) and Marichel Vineyard (Naramata), Meadow Vista Honey Wines (Kelowna) Red Arrow Brewery (Duncan), Dead Frog Brewery (Langley) and Off the Rail Brewery (East Vancouver), Stillhead Distillery (Duncan) and Pacific Rim Distilling (Ucluelet).I will be doing in-home tastings and events for the public (enquiries welcomed!) and in retail stores and restaurants.

Upper Bench Winery is the dream becoming reality for Gavin and Shana Miller. He has been a part of the wine industry for 12+ years, with Poplar Grove and Painted Rock as an multi-award winning Winemaker. She began her love affair with cheese in 2002 while at Poplar Grove, where she eventually became the Head Cheese Maker. In 2011 after an exhaustive search they found the perfect property for their new venture Upper Bench Winery and Creamery.
