My most recent achievements include:Led restructuring the IMCO Global Public equity portfolio ($18B CAD):o Led the research which determined that concentrated (<35 stocks) active managers would be most suitable and got approval from management investment committeeo Directed the manager search process, selected the managers, and completed the legal and operational setupo Recommended legacy managers to terminateo Funded IMCO’s Global equity portfolio with a multi-stage transition that terminated 15+ legacy mandates and funded 7 target mandates. The project finished a week ahead of schedule due to good timeline management and coordination.o Led the project to transfer the assets from segregated accounts into a IMCO’s Global Equity pooled fund• Communication and Coordinationo Led the monthly effort to rebalance the public equity portfolios. Had to coordinate with multiple internal and external parties to create and model trades, check against compliance limits, get approval and execute with very tight timelines. Directed $3.2B CAD in successful equity trades in 2021.o Directed multiple transitions to terminate legacy and fund new strategies which required communication across multiple internal and external teams while managing tight timelines.• ESG - Led coordination between IMCO’s RI team and the Public Equity team on projects such as:o Completing the UNPRIo Drafting ESG policieso Developing ESG reportingo Implementing ESG screening• Attribution and Reportingo Coordinated board and client reporting across all investment departments o Distilled performance attribution into key points which were inputs to client reporting and internal monitoring processeso Developed custom benchmark and peer group methodology to improve monitoring of external managers o Created the format and content for the manager due diligence reports for the investment committee• People Managemento Led the co-op program at OPB, interviewing candidates, selecting the successful candidate and training themo Two co-ops out of five hired in total were hired as full-time employees of IMCO, one of which continues to report to me.• Research and Due Diligenceo Covered public equity and fixed income managers in regions such as China A shares, Chinese RMB bonds, high yield, distressed debt, emerging market small caps in addition to more generic regions (Global equity, Canadian equity, Canadian credit etc.)o Led on-site due diligence trips resulting in the hiring and termination of asset managerso Communicated due diligence decisions to CIO and Investment Committee
