With over twenty years experience in public education, I am currently Principal of Ecole Coquitlam River Elementary in Coquitlam. I have a specialized interest and training in Human Resource Management, including a Chartered Professional of Human Resources (CPHR) designation.I have always had a passionate interest in law and its intersection with educational issues, employment and labour relations. I am a Chartered Professional of Human Resources (CPHR) having graduated from Simon Fraser University's Human Resources Management program. I am currently Vice President on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association for the Practical Study of Law in Education (CAPSLE).The co-author of "Insider's​ Guide to K-12 Education in BC"​, published by Pacific Education Press (http://www.pacificedpress.educ.ubc.ca/insiders-guide-to-k12-education-in-bc/) in July, 2015, I have also written two novels and numerous articles and editorials for The Vancouver Sun, The Victoria Times Colonist, The Tyee and a variety of others, including a paper published in the journal of the Canadian Association for the Practical Study of Law in Education (CAPSLE).
