Collected, analysed and interpreted health and education budget data and supported the use of health and education budget evidence for advocacy. Overall objective was to establish wastefulness, corruption and embezzlement, impact, quality and quantity of available social services. I worked with the Advocacy Coordinator to support the orientation of community, media stakeholders on the background to the campaign and how to use the evidence for advocacy.Created citizen’s oversight committees to participate and review government activities/ projects to increase monitoring, advisory services and actions, scrutinize government records and budgets. The citizen oversight committees were supposed to directly involve in citizen complaints processes, generate workable solutions and act as citizen point of contact and voice to government authorities.Introduced the community scorecard to hold duty bearers to account and be able to deliver basic services to people leaving in poverty. I mapped particular key aspects of the services to be considered in the score card, through a community participation gathered public perceptions of the services provided by government, analysed findings.Initiated the building of networks among organizations engaged with health and education budget advocacy in Tanzania. Identified organisations and opportunities for collaboration in budget advocacy and identified strategies to communicate current evidence at both local and national levelsActively engaged in field, partner and community support visits among others; secures information on project activity implementation and progress, drew precedents to guide future actions, discover mistakes in their early stages and put corrective strategies in place, weigh whether the desired outputs and outcomes are being achieved or otherwise, the field visits also acted as pure source for records and documentation.

Co authored/developed of critical paths of tax justice, public and accountability, women rights and agriculture programs in Mafia Local Rights Program. The critical path is a blue print set of actions that provided a sequence intervention leading to attainment of the Impact. I was guided by the Country strategy paper. Assisted the Governance and Public Awareness Advisor in enhancing political participation of the poor from the informal settlements and deprived locations to influence policy and accountability of government on delivery of public services. I assisted by supporting Action Aid partner Organizations, urban and rural poor population by increasing their capacity and voice to effectively engage and demand action and influence change of unfavourable policies, Influencing formulation and implementation of policies that are in favour the pro PoorOrganized the Tax Justice campaign in Bagamoyo district to raise awareness of land grabbing and undervaluation of the peoples land, disseminated report findings of the gross misappropriation of resources of public resources, poor services, under staffing in government in hospitals and schools, generated enthusiasm of the local communities to support accountability work, raised Bagamoyo challenges to national level among others. I also sought support from local partners and influential personalities. I provided technical support and guidance in enhancing the capacity of the Bagamoyo Local Right Program (LRP) staff and partner Civil Society Organizations (CSO’s) Tax Justice, Advocacy and Campaign. I sought to enhance their skills in conducting advocacy of any issues that arose. I mentored and coached them in problem identification, developing a solution, building of political will, deriving possible policy options and evaluation to gauge success or on. I also guided the staff and civil society organizations on conducting research before undertaking and advocacy.

Actionaid International Kenya

I chaired a committee that developed the Kibera Community Development Agenda (KCODA) strategic plan – 2013 -2018. Guided in the development of the vision, mission, values, helped identify stakeholders, challenges, goals and objectives. I also put in place a monitoring and evaluation frame to track progress and guide continuous learning. I authored internal working manuals; the human resources and administration manual, financial management manual, performance appraisal form and petty cash requisition form to streamline internal efficiency and effectiveness. I was part of the internal quality management system geared towards long-term sustainability of the organizationI participated in planning and organizing the 2012 Nairobi Good Governance festival that promoted good governance, peaceful co-existence of different ethnicities, peaceful election messages through radio talk shows, poster displays, infomercials, peace caravan with ambassadors for peace.Organized and conducted community public hearings where leaders would directly respond to citizens’ concerns, queries and demands. Also made it possible for community representatives to meet leaders for closed door meeting aimed at improving latter’s transparency and accountability leading to quality service provision.

I took lead in preparing future department financial and non financial forecasts; I also made sure the team sticks to the established controls in place. Sales management and team conflict resolution. I acquired staff with good talent, who fostered customer needs and requirements, excellent relationship and partnering abilities, I encouraged team work, setting realistic targets in line with the company’s main goals and vision. I put in place a visual sequence of activities (procedures) to achieve intended targets from initial contract to closing business. I maintained strategic partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders through special and regular communication, gifts, dialogues, experience sharing among others.
