Research professional with 25 years of experience in the retail real estate industry. Currently Director of Real Estate Research and Planning at Bath & Body Works (18 years). Responsibilities and interests include real estate strategy and analysis the domestic and international store fleets, sales forecasting, peer retailer patterning, global economic research, real estate reporting to management, analysis of real estate transactions (new stores, expansions, transfer, closures, new concepts, etc.), retail venue typology and field work in both domestic and international markets. Extensive experience in U.S. and Canadian market research backed by 24 years of field work. Recent focus includes LBrands’ global expansion (currently 73 countries) with particular emphasis on China, U.K., Ireland and Europe, including broad field work exposure. Other recent subjects include retail center vulnerability analysis, store closure impacts, anchor closure impacts, new competitor analysis / tracking and peer retailer fleet rationalization. Regular attendee at the ICSC RECON, ICSC Research Connections, MAPIC (France), and the Applied Geography Conferences. Member of the ICSC North American Research Task Force. Prior to LBrands, 8 years at the May Department Stores Company. Experience included sales forecasting, in-depth field work, market analysis and GIS, gravity modelling and extensive programming. M.A. degree from Miami University (Geography) with an emphasis on spatial analysis and retail geography and a B.S. degree from Ohio University (Geography).
