Assist in the control of aircraft movements to facilitate the DPKO mission achieve its mandate by:- Providing support in managing the aircraft assigned to and transiting the airfield. Providing support in managing the airport infrastructure, in concert with the Civil Aviation Authority. Assist in the planning of flight schedules, reviewing flight requests, and preparing Air Task Orders. Correct flight safety deficiencies. Comply with the DPKO Aviation Manual, Aviation Section SOPs, and DPKO Aviation SafetyProgram. Coordinate refueling, passenger and cargo loading. Liaise with agencies/offices in relation to the mission’s aviation requirements. Assist in insuring security on the aircraft parking ramp. Manage the movement of aircraft, to include marshalling. Document aircraft movements and flight activity. Assist aircrews. Give detailed report on weather and Security of my region before the launch of flight from Mission Aviation Operations Centre, MAOC. Maintain the operations standards of the Airfield being the Aviation's OIC. Carry out additional related tasks related as assigned by the supervisor When working with (including supervising) national staff or (non-)governmental counterparts, I amrequired to set aside dedicated time for training, coaching, mentoring and capacity development.

During my short spell in this company, I performed the following duties.- Crew scheduling.-Facilitation of transport to crew and general staffs.-Ensuring the safety of the flight while on ground as per the ICAO rules -Flight Planing and filing of flight plan.- Advising the crew on METAR and TAF-Wetaher.-Ensuring proper documentation are reconciled before and after the flight.

Check ULD (Unit Load Device) stocks, keep records and advise airlines accordingly. • Transmit departure control and loading messages of ULDs. • Responsible for ensuring proper and complete handover to the next Loading Coordinators or Ramp Duty Manager at the end of the shift. • Ensure all cargo/mail is inspected for suitability for transport including special loads such as Dangerous Goods, live animals, etc., are loaded correctly and checked as per company regulations. • Manage on board loading within all compartments including in-plane systems, restraint and nets to ensure all loads are secured for flight as per Kenya Airways safety procedure and procedures. • Supervise subordinate staff and ensuring their courteous behaviour towards general public. • Anticipate potential problems and handle issues within post holder’s scope of responsibility, advising the Airport Duty Manager appropriately and providing recommendations as necessary. • Assist with Cargo duties when required. • Supervise and assist with certain administrative issues such as monitoring punctuality, attendance, dress code, and addressing/reporting issues of concern as appropriate and monitoring overall work performance, attitude and conduct and contributing to performance reviews carried out periodically and as and when required.
